Anders Bodin
Rock / pop / other
Gothenburg, Sweden
Anders Bodin comes from Gothenburg, Sweden. He has been rocking
on since he was a little child. He grew up in the middle of Sweden and started
to write
his own songs at the age of ten. He's been playing in different bands
during the years and been playing as a street-musician for six, seven years.
He has always been writing songs and whenever he finds out a new guitar-riff
or a nice songmelodi he starts to work on it. With his back-catalogue of songs
he had a lot of tracks to choose from when it was time to go into the studio
to record his first studio album. In fact it was his older brother Magnus Bodin,
who released his first soloalbum "Street level friends" last year,
that inspired Anders to make his own solo album. The name of the album is "Hall
of flames" and the titletrack is about the firemen that is working on
the firestation "Hall of flames" in Gothenburg. The lyrics are a
little bit ironic. The "Hall of flames" is also an ambulance-station
and Anders is working there as a nurse / paramedic. Therefore he is singing
and
making fun of his mates at the station.
The album has Anders co-produced with Lars Ekberg, his brother-in-law, and
the album is mainly recorded in his studio in Gothenburg. It was also Lars
who introduced Anders to these great musicians that are playing with him on
the CD. These guys have experiences from playing with major artists in Sweden
like Mikael Rickfors, Mats Ronander and Jerusalem.
After the release of "Hall of flames" he's had some radio
airplay in Sweden, been doing live-shows and has got some nice reviews. At
the moment Anders is doing live-shows, writing new songs and is planing for
the next album that should be out late 2008.
Sounds like: Put Status Quo, Whitesnake, Beatles and some
folktones in a mixer
and press the button. Then you have it!!
