J. C. Cinel
UK
J. C. Cinel is classic rock / blues / rock artist from
United Kingdom.
J. C. (Giuseppe Cinel) is performing as an artist more than
15 years, as a singer / guitarist and song-writer taking up different
kinds
of
music
ranging from rock, rock-blues to country-rock. They have never been re-proposed
in a canonical way, but mixed: the result is a particular blend with melody
on top of it and a special care for both vocal and instrumental arrangements.
He's currently the founder and leader of several bands yet working and playing
with a constant activity; this is why he decided to collect his songs in
a west-coast, country-rock oriented mini-CD. The first thing to take into
account is the choice for this record to go completely acoustic. This comes
from his first musical formation and love marked by a deep and constant study
of the acoustic and classic guitar and from listening to what's going to
have a great influence on his song- writing: Eagles, America, C.S.N., Beatles..
This helps to develop a style enabling him to create a warm and catchy sound
perfectly suiting the lyrics contents and rhythms. Harmony vocals play an
outstanding part in his way of feeling music, a trademark of all his musical
experiences: they are in fact used as a real instrument coloring and expanding
the melody bounds. The fusion of several voices in a game which calls and
answers emphasizes the evoking and introspective feeling of his lyrics. He
loves to develop the melody always on top of his songs through particular
arrangements without sounding redundant. This comes from his love for completely
different kinds of music: Jazz, Bossanova, Blues, World music.. This versatility
has always followed his musical activity throughout his several live experiences.
In 1985 he's singer and lead guitarist of a band called The Air performing
their own song ranging from rock to fusion, Styx and Yes - like. In 1992
he's in a band called Lost and Found, a five piece band mixing
west-coast guitars and vocals to latin rhythms and percussions. Since 1996
he's leader
of the bands: Poison Whiskey (Southern Rock, '70 Rock) and Head
and Heart (Country Rock, West Coast). The first one is a very well-known
band with constant activity in the live music circuit. In 2000 he is the
side act of Mac Auly (singer of Michael Shenker Group) during an Italian
summer festival. In 2001 some of JC's songs are collected in his first unplugged
solo self produced CD called "Halfway there". This mini-CD contains
four songs composed and arranged entirely by J. C. In 2001 he is the winner
of national contest "Emergenze chitarre", organized by the prestigious
Italian guitar magazine. In 2002 the J. C Band travels all around
the country to propose his own songs. In 2003 the J. C. Band is
on the road again for a lucky summer tour in France (Cote d'Azur) and thanks
to positive response, a winter tour is being planned.
