Tide is rock / grunge / alternative band
from
Slovenia. The story of this band begins in 1998 when Kevin went to
Amsterdam / Holland to work as a studio musician where he met Mikkel Brink, a
hot shot Danish
drummer with whom he's recorded a few songs alongside Japanese bass player
Kenji Hino. In need of a bass player they brought in Giovanni from Slovenia
and joined forces in what sounded like an explosive rock trio.
The guys recorded several demos then left for the USA to gig for a while. Throughout
the summer they endured the South Florida heat during hurricane season. After
a short trip to New York city they headed back to Amsterdam to start recording
their first record.
Once the CD was finished Mikkel got homesick and returned to Denmark for good.
In the fall of 2004 Kevin went on vacation and in the process bumped into and
old acquaintance of his, Peter Kokotec, who was also looking for a band. After
hearing the songs which Kevin and Giovanni recorded in Amsterdam, he was ready
to join the gang.
However, there was only one thing missing, a drummer. Giovanni knew a talented
young drummer who was exactly what the guys have been looking for. Gregor Jakac
passed the audition in 10 minutes.
Most of that summer was spent rehearsing and getting ready for whatever was
coming. Soon afterwards they were offered a deal to release their debut CD
"Seven Days" for CPZ / Nika Records in Slovenia (Europe). Tide welcomes all
the good music lovers to embark with them on this journey.
Tide band members are: Kevin Koradin - vocals, guitar;
Gregor Jakac - drums;
Matej Batelic aka Giovanni - bass;
Peter Kokotec - guitar.
