BIOGRAPHY
Corbansick was a Nu Metal band from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, despite their genre, their sound contained a diversity that went beyond
the boundaries of their Nu Metal classification. Corbansick maintained that
they had to keep a good relationship with their fans in order to sustain longevity.
As a result, they wrote for the fans in hopes that they would take something
from the songs during the listening experience and apply it to their own lives.
Corbansick has quite a different style compared to that heard within the sound
of other Nu Metal bands. Corbansick's guitar work is intricate; it flows with
the song, yet isn't so simplistic that it follows the drums. Their bass lines
have major funk influence, but not to the point of it becoming fusion. Corbansick
also totes the typical funk-influenced drumlines; Metal-esque but not basic
in their nature or sound. Igor Benic voice also lent itself to the style of
the band's sound, with a seemingly unusual rise and fall that incorporated melodic
harmonies and screams of rage, mixed with hiphop style.

The band Corbansick was found in July 2003 in Sarajevo, Bosnia
and Herzegovina by two many years friends, Goran Valka (keyboard) and Fedja
Sehic (guitar) which have been making music together since 1999. The lyrics
were written in English only. Quickly after the decision to form Corbansick,
vocal Igor Benic joined the band. He was a great addition to the band. With
his unique style of rap / singing he was a major factor in forming todays highly
addictive metal / rap combination which makes Corbansick so outstanding. A few
months later, bassist Haris Kurspahic and drummer Stefan Pejovic, two incredible
musicians, joined the band. After tons of suggestions they decided to call the
new born baby of the Bosnian music scene Corbansick (a junction of 3 words,
Sick, Core, Band).

After a few months of jamming, they started playing some smaller
gigs and local festivals in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Quickly they found themselves
in a Studio in Sarajevo, where they recorded three songs; "Broken",
"Pissed Off" and "Hypocrites". The songs were published
on many demo compilations and played on radio stations all over the country.
After many gigs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Corbansick has been invited to join
the "Upgrade festival" with 20 bands from Germany in Magdeburg. They
received very positive critics. One of them was from the German MTV, which proclaimed
a bright future for the young band. The combination of different styles makes
Corbansick sound different from other bands. They got an unique sound reaching
from typical nu metal songs to alternative rock and funk, with heavy guitar
riffs, funky bass lines combined with rap & shout vocals, oldshools rhytms
and ambiental & psychedelic synth sounds.
