METAROTH
Metaroth was founded in 1997 in Bursa / Turkiye. As Metaroth
commenced playing, they showed up in various gigs immediately. Although the
musical style of the band was somewhat rear Cross-over & Thrash Metal, the
band chose not to set any musical boundaries, working to advance constantly.
With good achievement done in short time, Metaroth got great
attention for their songs which had eastern melodies, during the shows they
played. 97-98's, there were no recording studios in Bursa, thus not able to
record their work. Combined with crew problems, the band to slow down and stop
their activities avuntally. At this time, band members continued to their musical
activities by individual and some co-projects.
In the summer of 1999, Metaroth decided to return with a new
crew. The returning of the band got pretty much attention in the underground
music scene and some magazines remarked their returning. Especially, the reportages
made with the band; their critics about the metal music scence and comments
got so much attention that were criticized, supported and deboted. In this period
they did not just played in gigs, but also organised several gigs in Bursa.
By 2001, Metaroth members felt the urge to record their work
once again. Demo E.P. ''Trajedy'' was recorded in November 2001. This demo consisted
of five songs which Metaroth made during 2001 Fall. This demo EP was recorded
under so restrining circumstances, giving the EP its name; ''Trajedy''. The
band managed to use local instruments even this EP. Some of the songs placed
in complations and also played in radio programs. Songs had got modern metal
sound and "Global Shit" was drawing attention.
After the demo, the band resumed the shows with no brake. 2002
was the top point of the band stage performances. ''Hold Up!'' took great interest
and it was memorized with the band's name.
In 2002, Metaroth evaluated some opportunities and in October
they made a record in Ankara - Zoo Studios. The recording was completed in a
short time, like 6 days. Because of some problems after the recording, the mix
stage was not completed on the planning time. With 2004, the band solved all
problems and the record was finished. Metaroth signed a contract with Atlantis
Music for their debut album "Meta non Grata" which is released these
days, while touring constantly. And start to working on the 2nd album as possible....
