Eagle is pop / rock / acoustic band from
Cairns / Port Douglas / Queensland /
Australia .
In 2007 Eagle has been the pick for sports events from centre stages at the
NBL at the Cairns convention Centre, the Oxford Tavern for the Bathurst 1000,
to the private function for the Holden national team, the grand final after
parties for the AFL Cairns Saints to the Port Douglas NRL.
Singer songwriter
released his debut album in 2007 with MGM selling through major record stores
in Queensland including Sanity and HMV in Cairns, Townsville and surrounding
areas. After 7 years of playing live as a solo artist in Cairns and Port Douglas,
audiences have been raving about his dynamic rock band featuring Giles Smith
on Bass, Will Kepa on drums and Jov Santarossa on lead. He has at numerous
venues including the Bombay rock in Townsville, Chasers and the Esplanade Hotel
in Melbourne supporting acts such as Dallas Crane, Coloured Stone and Def Rhyme.
He performed live on national TV (Australia and New Zealand)
on the Channel 9 today show in the mornings and plays to crowds at festivals
around Australia.
Some of the festivals played at include the Laura Dance Festival, Yungaburra
Folk Festival, the Victorian Peace Expo and the Port Douglas Carnivale longest
lunch headline band for four years in a row.
Commercial radio 4CA FM Cairns
and SEA FM Rock Station in Townsville have picked up the song “Everything
is okay” where Eagle often performs live during radio breakfast shows,
including resident entertainer for September 2007. The track is on high rotation
on B-Rock and 2BS in Bathurst. He is also getting regular radio airplay on
a number of other radio stations including, ABC Far North, ABC Radio Australia,
and Port FM.
Prior to this, Eagle has supported acts such as Def Rhyme,
Goanna, Colin Hayes, Mark Seymour, Weddings Parties Anything and Colored Stone.
He
also was guitar playing singer songwriter in the bands Engine Room and Freakshow
who had an extensive live following in Melbourne.
He enhanced his song writing
skills working with Greg Macainsh from the Skyhooks and Beeb Burtle from LRB.
He went to the Melba Conservatorium of Music and to Jaanz for singing classes
and sang in the Victorian Swing Choir supporting Jon English live on TV.
