About Roadhouse:
Roadhouse was formed in 1991 by Gary Boner, ably assisted
throughout by the driving bass of Bill Hobley and the powerful drumming of
Roger Hunt. Seizing on an eclectic mix of influences from Lynyrd Skynyrd to
Creedence, the band has
developed a sound all of its own. In the words of a recent Blues Matters review:
"They veer towards the rocky side of the Blues, but are clearly Blues based
and play in a punchy style with musicianship of the highest quality". They
can be proud ofw riting and performing some of the most powerful, original blues
/ rock
music of this
generation".
Achievements:
- Have played over 2,000 gigs in UK, Ireland & Europe
- Have played over 50 major festivals, including 5 main stage appearances at
the annual Skegness Monsters of Blues & Rock Festivals, 5 at the Colne
National R&B Festival, the Burnley National Blues
Festival and the 2006 Antwerp Festival in a triple header with Dr Feelgood
and John Hammond. Additionally they have headlined four consecutive South of
London Blues festival and the legendary Marquee.
- The release of 10 critically acclaimed CD's, including the Jazz FM heralded
'Blues Highway' in 2003 and the critically nominated blues / rock 'UK CD
of the Year', No Place to Hide, in 2005. Their new CD, 'Sea of Souls' is released
on Blues Matters records (signed by Blues Matters Records in 2003) via Proper distribution
in July 2008.
- They have achieved Global airplay on over 50 stations in over 20 different
countries, including 8 stations in the USA. Roadhouse performed a special live session on the Paul Jones show on BBC2 in
2005.
- Were one of the top picks under Blues / Rock on 'I Tunes', for downloads
of their acclaimed CD, 'Broken Land' in 2006.
- Have opened shows for and played 'Double header' gigs with, Walter Trout,
Joe Bonamassa, Pat Travers, Dr Feelgood,
Nine Below Zero, The Animals, The Yardbirds, Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones),
The Pirates, Stan Webb’s Chickenshack,
Wilco Johnson

based worldwide.
