It must have been back in the year 1990, when the two guitar
players - Markus Sauter (aka Sudel) and Dieter Schwarz - met for a session
at 4 o' clock in
the morning. Needles to say that beer played the lead part. Because of their
many commonalities regarding music, their passion for garlic-pudding, heavy
metal and certain barley-juices, there was probably no way around founding
a band. Shortly after that, drummer Max Troendle, who used to play on pots
and pans, and bass player Marco Braun were bought (for a bottle of Rothaus
beer). When Marco left the band, the three decided to hire and train Frank
Eichkorn, a frequent quest (and more frequent beer drinker) as the new bass
player.
Deep sorrow caused a long break, when drummer and co-founder,
Max, died in a tragic traffic accident in 1993. Later, the brother of-a-guitarist
and drum genius Peter Sauter alias Bibel (ex-More Attack) replaces Max, but there still
remains an empty space amoung them. The only problem was the vocal part. Many
have tried, but all of them failed sooner or later. In April 1994 the position
was advertised in a local newspaper. The phone did not stand still. Thousands
of phone calls. Only to end that stalking, Peter Asmus, aka Pepe (ex-Nosferatu)
was hired.
The music style was something between speed, power, a grain
of melodic and progressive mixed melanholic structures. Very tasty. Everything
was quite fine, until singer decided in 2003 to dedicate his life to his second
passion, repairing scooters. So, the band was voicelesss again and a new quest
began. For more than a year it was a mostly desolate being and the band almost
split up.
In the year 2005, a band found a new singer, Andreas Simon,
whom they worked with for about one year. They only played cover songs back
then, no longer composing authors songs. Because Andi got tied to his real-life-job
too much, and band no longer wanted to play just covers. Oliver Gantert (ex-Painful
Truth) was hired in the hot summer of 2006 as the new singer.
There up on, band decided a new begining with the new name
- Source Of Silence. In spring 2007 the group managed to record a five - track
Demo with three authors songs. In May 2008, a band released ten-track CD "Reborn".
